Moné Holder for Jacksonville City Council, At-Large Group 1

VOTE FOR MONÉ HOLDER ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 18TH, 2026

Meet Moné

Moné’s dedication to public service was shaped early by her family's working-class roots. Her worldview is anchored by her late grandfather—a proud Air Force veteran and respected labor union leader. The lessons he instilled in her regarding structural fairness, loyalty, and servant leadership drive her entire approach to public service.

A mother of two, Moné doesn’t look at local economics through abstract theories. She understands the real-world pressure of making hard decisions at the kitchen table, and she is running to protect the quality of life for the next generation.

Appointed to the Jacksonville Planning Commission in 2023, Moné made history as the first Black woman to serve as Chair. She understands how to navigate city zoning laws and development maps to make sure our neighborhoods aren't left behind. Backed by nearly 20 years of nonprofit executive leadership, she has driven impactful change for public safety, voting rights, and housing affordability at the local and state levels.

Where Moné Stands:

a safer and fairer city STARTS BY keeping City Hall honest and putting neighborhoods first.

Ethical Leadership & integrity at City Hall:

Jacksonville families are tired of watching political insiders look out for one another while ordinary neighborhoods get left behind. Moné doesn't owe anyone political favors; she isn't here to 'play the game,' and she will serve as an ethical compass and check and balance on special interests.

Accountability & Affordability:

As a single mom who understands the pressure of kitchen-table economics, Moné will prioritize lowering the cost of living, defending housing affordability, and expanding workforce development. She will fight to ensure that city tax dollars are invested directly back into our people, not funneled into special-interest pet projects.

Smart Growth, Infrastructure, & Public Safety:

As Chair of the Jacksonville Planning Commission, Moné has unmatched expertise in managing city layout and zoning. She will utilize that experience to demand sustainable infrastructure—like sidewalks, park upgrades, and flood resiliency. She believes a safer city and a fairer city go hand-in-hand, achieved by investing in our youth through literacy, STEM, and safe neighborhoods.
